We like to chat about mature subjects, and the Good OLD Days!

I downloaded and had played the demo for about 3 months, then got the retail version and discovered the zone online.

For about 6 months, I have downloaded tracks and lurked in the zone.  Although it was fun, something was missing.  It was just too hard to find a good game and I spent more time arranging games and waiting than playing.

I had meet a few cool people along the way, but never stayed in touch with them.   I had never got to play most of the add-on pods that I had, other than against the drone trucks (sometimes they just don't even make it around the track).

After seeing that people were signing in under all teams of all names, I decided to check out some of the other Team sites.  I looked at all I could find.  Some looked cool, some sucked!  I had no idea what team to join.  Most would list the members, but did not tell much about themselves or the members of their team.

I came to find out, somewhat to my surprise that
I was not the only 30 something person who spent allot, and I mean allot of time playing this game.  Although I like the younger generation, I felt somewhat strange, being in a chat room with 12 year olds.   It is not easy to keep conversation and to be responsible not say the wrong things to them.

I really liked the game and some of the add-on tracks.  I started finding out more about the people making the tracks, and come to appreciate the fact that these guys were spending allot of time building these tracks for my enjoyment.  Some of these great track took them months to create and perfect, and they were not getting paid.  What sacrifice I thought.

I started to feel somewhat guilty, that I was taking advantage of a "free ride".   I wanted to build a track, but did not have the time to learn.  I also thought that I may work on a track for months, it could be great, but maybe no one would download it to try and who would I get to beta test it?

Since I already knew how to put a website together, I started to think up what I wanted in a team.  I had first thought about a Florida racing league, but never found much interest in that.  Now that I knew there were allot of older guys playing, I took the OLD idea and began to put it together.

This site and team are the result of all this, and I have had a great time so far.   The website has been allot of work, and I am somewhat satisfied in the results.

I have had allot of visitors, including allot of the guys I had been looking up to in the MTM community.  Almost all have had great things to say about the site and the idea.  KC, Spreker, Beek, Nicky, Team Death and more have stopped by and even added links to the OLD site.  With their approval, I feel that my efforts were worth the time.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
